You want privacy and security but you want it over plain IMAP/SMTP, then you’ll have to manually encrypt and decrypt every message. It’s a good thing they don’t offer IMAP/SMTP support as those protocols are old and insecure by nature - SSL and TLS are bandaids, they can only do so much.

There are compromises to keeping yourself safe online, one of which is to convenience, and the other is to your wallet - yes, privacy costs. If you don’t want to make those compromises, just open up and let Google in and get comfortable watching your data get siphoned away.

I don’t disagree. I didn’t say the Imperium was the best option, I said it’s the best option humans could come up with. I may be a little cynical nowadays about how readily people will accept authoritarianism in the face of a crisis.

I think The Imperium of Man is the best solution humans could come up with to the threats of a horrific and unforgiving universe, and it does preserve the species, so in that sense it’s “good” even if it’s a nightmare of human rights violations every second of every sol on nearly every planet in the empire. Plus, who the fuck is gonna argue with a psyker so strong he can fight off literal chaos gods?

“Secure and safe” is doing a lot of very heavy lifting here. But, taking that at face value - it cannot be compromised by malicious third parties, it will not break like having the wires retract and has no capacity to cause damage to my person, the worst thing that can happen is that it deactivates and my body dissolves it and absorbs or passes the remains, etc etc - sure, of course.

I really enjoyed learning to homebrew, and my family and friends really enjoyed drinking the mead I’ve made. You can homebrew all sorts of stuff, too - beer and wine of course, but also kombucha and ginger ale (edit: and cider! Thanks /u/cyberpunk007). I’m looking at professional kit for my next batch which is going to be a few hundred dollars at least of steel, but my first fermentation tubs were something like $35.

My only up-front recommendation would be to get a conical fermenter as it minimises loss when racking/bottling.

You’ll notice them in the morning most because a) you’re awake and b) you’ve had several hours for your bladder to fill, probably enough that you need to relieve it. This puts physical pressure on the sacral nerve, causing the erection. In turn, the erection closes the sphincter to the bladder more tightly because getting urine in the vagina during sex would change the pH and possibly kill sperm you have deposited/will deposit, which makes not tightening that sphincter an evolutionarily disadvantageous trait. This does make it something of a self-reinforcing cycle, though.

Man, most bands start as a group of friends playing together for fun. Yes, sucking isn’t fun - the fun comes from surmounting those obstacles and seeing yourself improve. I sucked at Dark Souls when I first picked it up, but I wanted to be good, so I sat down and practiced parrying against basic enemies until I could get it consistently. I suck at guitar too, it hurts my fingers and makes my hands cramp and it wasn’t worth it to me to push through that to get good.

You know what I did about it? I sold my guitar on craigslist and moved on. I didn’t go on the internet and whine about it, nor did I get impudent with people who took the time to offer me advice - really rather good advice, in this thread. Your attitude sucks. Adjust that, and then either sit down and practice or find a new hobby. Nobody gives a shit that being bad makes you sad.
