Biden didn’t just not go left, he tried to outflank the republicans from the right by facilitating genocide, ending covid protections, and passing the most draconian border bill since like the 40s.

This is one of the worst examples of confirmation bias I have ever seen. The Biden Administration’s entire record is out there for you to peruse, and you pick 3 things out of hundreds, possibly thousands, that you think justify your comparison.

  • I just don’t wanna be social and hate the world.

Saying that after also talking about how your situation is depressing to you indicates you want things to be different but aren’t ready to try to make anything different. People’s life circumstances can fuck with them, for sure, but the only person who can make anything different for you is you.

You’re stuck having a pity party for yourself and you’ve spun your self-hatred into hatred for “the world.” Try really hard to let go of whatever shame and self-hatred you’re holding on to and accept that none of us are perfect, and there are actually plenty people out there who would accept you and be your friend if you treat them with respect.

From years of experience working in mental health, people pretty much have an “average” mood set (mostly) independently from their life situation. There are lots of people who are really ok when bad things happen in their lives, and lots of people who are dour or sad about things even when they’re fine. Ultimately, lots of people don’t need any “sips of reality to be miserable,” they’ve just decided to be miserable regardless. Obviously all of this is serious generalization and is not universally applicable.

Impossible burgers cooked right on the skillet are pretty damn good, imo. And easy. I’m no vegetarian but we keep them in our weeknight rotation.

Edit: Connect is messing up and I can no longer see some comments below. The study you cite, SMCF, uses the Nova classification system to define ultra-processed foods, meaning that category contains “soft drinks, sweet or savoury packaged snacks, confectionery; packaged breads and buns; reconstituted meat products and pre-prepared frozen or shelf-stable dishes.” This gives you no information on Impossible burgers’ impact on cardiovascular disease, it only gives you a trend among people who eat all of the above. I would suspect the reality is Impossible meat contributes to CVD slightly more than straight-up vegetables and significantly less than red meat.
