Cars are expensive to buy and maintain. Also I don’t think finding a parking spot and then parking is a fun activity. Also the metro can in many cases be faster, and I can use my phone while I’m in it.
The series died when they killed desmond in favor of keeping the story open for endless sequels.
Authoritarianism is an empty label since it’s used against one’s opposing ideologies. Rarely if ever is the inherent authoritarianism of the current or any system of government acknowledged.
It’s much better to deliver useless projects afterall.
Literally any mobile game. Outside of that, you have your eastern gring MMOs like Black desert or Lost Ark, Fifa with it’s ultimate team, and the general pay for skipping the western market has fallen into like you have on the newer Assassin’s Creed games.

I use an MMO mouse that seems to require the installation of a (admittedly pretty crappy) proprietary software to work on 2.4GHz mode, so that’s the big one. I also have use a DS4 for some games. That’s 90% of it.
Did you find you had a lot of trouble getting new peripherals to work? Things like wireless mouses/headsets?
I don’t mind being the sysadmin of my own machine (I prefer it, in fact). It’s just that I don’t want to spend free time troubleshooting some obscure problem specific to my build because I chose an ASUS motherboard and I don’t have drivers for my wireless headset or something. At least not when I’d rather unwind playing a game.
White space in the wrong place? Fails Wrong amount of tabs? Fail
Working in a big configuration file that has a lot of nesting? Good luck.
Best part is that most of these things don’t throw errors or anything, it just doesn’t work and you are left scratching your head as to why your deploy only fails in the production environment.
No, YAML can fuck right off. I hate that this shit format is used for cloud stuff.
Wait 10 years, and people will make memes and change public opinion about the sequels.
Are you saying that, post pandemic, people don’t commute to have meetings online?
