I would have to disagree on this one. Working in the auto industry has helped me see that they do help in long term circumstances. Like every 20k miles or so. Knocks off some of the impurity burn offs that stick on the valves.
I’d love to say being productive, learning languages, helping the communities, doing good deeds, exploring the world, trying to fix the wrongs… But as of this moment, the above comment is the realistic answer.
What if my experience is 0 but I want to go this route?
In my experience, installation of Win or Lin has been pretty easy. Lin has less options to opt out of (I like) than windows, but windows set everything up just fine. The only time I ever had issues on either is if I try to install without an active ether net connected. If I don’t have the os update during install, I run into random driver issues on either os.
