  • The Jesus Christ of the New Testament was a dark skinned communist who belabored loving and helping immigrants to his followers, whipped the greedy, and informed them they would go to hell if they didn’t stop being selfish fucks.

If the Jesus of the new Testament both existed and returned, the “Christian” right would be first in line to kill him again so they could get back to worshipping this guy:

Reminder, economies are meant to be lowly tools of a society that exist only to maximize the equitable and efficient distribution of goods and services within said society.

Our western, rigged market capitalism has metastasized to the point that our society lives in subsistence and subservience to that lowly, broken tool. To the point that when disaster strikes, our societal leaders rush out to their podiums to reassure us the capital markets that every possible measure will be taken to protect our society people children economy, by which they mean preserving the capital value of the owner’s dragon hoards.

Its perverse to watch, it’s insane, it’s ass backwards, but here we are. Our military protects our owner’s capital around the world, our police defend the owner’s capital domestically. Meanwhile our people that make up our society struggle to make rent, struggle to eat, and every population center has growing tent cities of citizens we throw away to die of exposure and police harassment for the crime of not producing capital value well enough for the owners of our economy.

Oh how I wish I could force all these economists working for private profit media writing all these “the economy is doing great, it’s the people suffering under it who are wrong” pieces to wear their headlines like sandwich signs and walk through their nearest tent city.

  • Do lower your expectations.

Don’t forget the market capitalists are the ones that both fed you those expectations through their media machines, captured government, and influence on education, and now expect you to work just as hard if not harder with no expectation of retirement or even enough to indulge personal hobbies or experiences as you subsist creating value for them, more and more likely than ever to death.

Also don’t forget whenever you’re pressured by their captured society to feel guilt for being lazy for not working even harder to enrich them in exchange for a tiny sliver of the value you generate them, you know the “you’re poor because you do the minimum at work and don’t also have 2 side gigs, sleep when you’re dead get that grind brah” crap, that the owners live their lives on vacation, barking mandates, layoffs, and activist shareholder threats via email that subordinates will have to entirely plan and execute while buzzed and high from some elite club, resort, penthouse, yacht, or wherever they feel inspired to vegetate that day on your back.

Remember, small impressionable children, oligarchy and rigged market capitalism is the only way, everything else is evil and anti-freedom, and remember to compete against your fellow Americans to try to get more than them!

For our next lesson, critical thinking and reasoning! Just kidding, we don’t do that here. It doesn’t help to make you better laborers.

And now onto history, open your textbooks to page 33:

Always a keen reminder that our transient little lives are NOT to be taken too seriously.

Pharoahs that claimed Godhood and had themselves sealed in an impossible monument “for all eternity” with a dozen living servants were dug up, put on display and are likely boring some school groups to death as we speak. In only 100 years, as long as there are still humans, we will be mocked, ridiculed, and belittled by the living for guilt free entertainment for our values and priorities, and rightly so.

Literally none of the little plans we humans make matters, and that means you get to choose what matters to you. Maximize your happiness.

You can use steam link, or even better sunshine/moonlight, and have the best of both worlds if your local network is strong.

I can play fully modded Skyrim/Fallout4/Cyberpunk/Starfield on any screen in the house.

I don’t even see the point of a steam Deck, I use a regular 10inch tablet with a kickstand running moonlight and an Xbox controller in bed.

That’s kind of the enshittification of every sector as private industries have stopped caring about long term business models and only see as far as the next earnings report because private shareholders demand it under threat of legal action. A race to the bottom with no concern for any future, a fire sale.

Look at the airline industry at large. Flying, even for regular people, used to be seen as an event to look forward to. Now you get hit up for fees for literally everything that used to be part of the ticket as you’re crumpled on top of one another.

Boeing is a bad actor, because our modern “free market” rigged economy now incentivizes being a bad actor. Private shareholders don’t contribute to these companies, care about the quality of their products, or the satisfaction of customers, they just want moooaaaar right now. Always moaaaaar. If anyone tries to actually provide a better product/service, they may win by being bought out by the shitty industry they tried to improve, but they’re bought to either kill or enshittify that company to maintain their oligopoly that screws both customers and employees to maximize private shareholder profit at all other expense.

This is why the customers first, employees second, investors third model business tossed aside in the 70/80s was so vital. Nothing happens without customers and employees, no profit, no product. Shareholders are just needy baby leeches that contribute no labor and demand moar profit every feeding, and they have ALL the power.

Our economy should punish the private shareholder model and reward a cooperative model that rewards active and former labor contributors to a profiting business commensurate with the labor/expertise/duration of contribution they provide. Won’t happen, the owners will see to it we collapse before they let their captured government put them in check, but it needs to.
